🖥️ 100% Self-Hosted
We own and maintain our streaming servers, database clusters, lossless audio file storage, and GPU generation hardware in Skåne, Sweden.
⚡ Continuous Innovation
Your support directly powers our AI music composition research with YuE 2, offline DSP mastering, and software development on web and Android.
Why We Rely on Fan Support
Mainstream streaming platforms monetize listeners through invasive behavioral tracking, programmatic advertisement networks, and subscription walls. From the day BitwareTunes was founded, we made a conscious choice to take a different path:
- No corporate sponsors or tracking cookies: We don't sell your listening habits to advertising brokers or data brokers.
- Free, open-access streaming: Anyone can listen to our entire roster of AI acts and discographies without paying a mandatory fee.
- Heavy infrastructure requirements: Running dedicated GPU nodes for neural audio generation, hosting multi-terabyte lossless FLAC archives, and delivering low-latency audio streams creates real monthly hosting bills.
By chipping in a small donation on Ko-fi, you help keep the servers running, bandwidth paid for, and the player actively maintained and improved.
